picture updates later!! (: so this week has pretty much beeen extremely exciting. hectic, busy, and most of all fun... met tons of new people. so that's pretty awesome.
trying to recap what happened. hahha. to tell the truth so much has happened.. i dont even really remember anymore. lol.
monday: so i left california at 11:10 on sunday (it was raining when i left) and arrived in chicago at like 5:30ish. omg. it was extremely tiring and then after we went to ikea and costco to do all of my dorm room shopping. we spend so much money :( because the tax is sooo expensive here. we then went to some sketchy restaurant near chicago, and my parents and i went to chicago, and it is absolutely gorgeous there. i hope that i will be able to go there more often during my next four years!! so then im excited for that!
tuesday: i met my roommate, and i moved in! hahah. that's basically it. oh and met my peer advisor group. got my wildcard!! we marched through the arch.. even though it was kind of lame. we had candles like we did at CASC.. unfortunately it was still light out.. so then it didnt really work out that well. hahah. and then we ate plex with my PA group! all of us are engineers... and so they were my group for all of my engineering related events, and then at night, we had ice breakers at smq, and also this assembly thingy for the WASH area. best of all, we had ben& jerry while a capella groups sang. :P
wednesday: we met with our PA group and ate breakfast at allison! it was kind of early. haha. at like 9:00, i think. lol. then listened to the dean's convocation at tech.. omg. tech is THE most confusing building in this whole entire world. and all of my classes are in there. GREAT! hahah. i went to group engineer advising stuff and then i took the chinese placement, then went to the a cappella fest with my hallmates! hahah. it was cool. every group was AMAZINGLY good. i was really impressed. northwestern kids are so talented it's scary. hahah. and extremely intelligent as well.
thursday: went to academic interest sessions, met katie. a super cool girl. haha. we met randomly because we were both lost, and she told me to go to a christian group's bbq. hahaha. because of the free food and her friend brenda wanted to join the group. i had a lot of fun there met tons of upperclassment. and im thinking about doing the triathlon. we also went to the multicultural lucheon, it was the best food i had in a LONG time. so yummmy. hahah. kaliedoscope was also that night. they had indian dancing which reminded me of sarang. hahahha. (:
friday: individual advising, work study orientation, information sessions on ASG and student activities & library orientation. hahha. no seth meyers because i didnt have tickets.
saturday: saturday was basically amazing. jessie, deborah and i went swimming at like 9:00 and we walked all the way up to SPAC. we wanted to eat breakfast, but apparently all the dining halls were closed. so we went swimming.... the pool is really pretty, im so out of shape!! ahhh. Then we went to the activities fair for asians. hahahha. and then we went to essential nu which was on sex signals. it was great. the skit.. i loved it. lol. they passed on condoms which was pretty awkward. hahahah. i got my cable so i was able to connect my printer to the computer, and then a huge group of us just went together to eat dinner and sargent.. and the most stupid things were said by me. rhode island and long island. ahahahhaha. oops... well other stupid things were also said by other people.. hahahha. like march doesn't always have 31 days. (: but it was fun. then we went to rock the beach. sophie, sam and i claim that we have started the whole entire party because we totally crashed the peer advisors circle. it was soo much fun! hahah. and then we went to tom deluca which was the COOLEST show i have ever seen. people did a lot of funny stuff and i laughed my head off. basically, saturday was THE best dude.
sunday: i missed the SWE brunch :( which was a little upsetting but ohhh well. i woke up early today to eat breakfsast because i thought that i still had 7 meals on my card, but unfortunately, they started over today which sucks big time. hahah. i woke up early AND i wasted a meal on breakfast. LAME-O. hahah. we felt so dumb when we found out. sam, sophia and i went to the community service info session, and i got another free t-shirt, and then afterwards we made our own lunch of mac&cheese and my beef noodles. it was very yummy. hahahha. we finished of all of our nu essentials. so that's good, and we're also going to six flags later!!! so im excited for that.
